Dr. Michael McNaught completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, in 2013.  There, he served as Chief Resident for all four years and received training in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including dental extractions, dental implants, facial trauma, jaw surgery, and the treatment of oral and facial pathology.

Dr. McNaught grew up in Lamar, Missouri, and joined the Missouri Army National Guard at age 18, being trained as a dental technician.  In the following years, he graduated from college and went on to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, graduating in 2007 with his DDS degree, gaining awards for implant dentistry and oral surgery honors.  Dr. McNaught then spent ten years serving in the active duty Army as a dentist and later as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Dr. McNaught was stationed at Fort Campbell for a total of six years during his active duty Army career.  He served as Chief of Oral Surgery for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency and as a staff Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital.  He spent four years training general dentist residents in advanced oral surgery procedures.  It was there that he also had the opportunity to earn his Air Assault badge.

Dr. McNaught had the privilege of serving our country in the US Army and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel with over 26 years of service.

Dr. McNaught served patients in Springfield, Missouri, through private practice from 2017-2021. Dr. McNaught and his family grew to love the middle Tennessee area during the years stationed at Fort Campbell, and are thrilled to now be able to officially call Clarksville home. Dr. McNaught enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, participating in church activities, as well as archery, hunting, and other activities that get him into the great outdoors.

Dr. McNaught is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  He is a current member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Tennessee Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the Tennessee Eighth District Dental Society.  He serves as a board member for the Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks Tooth Truck and volunteers with Project Hope as an oral surgeon on mission trips to Haiti and Nicaragua.
